Statement on Youth Forum in Zimbabwe from Afrika Kontakt in Denmark

Afrika Kontakt in Denmark has stopped our cooperation with the Youth Forum in Zimbabwe with immediate effect. The reason for this is that the Youth Forum has abused money from Afrika Kontakt and the Danish state.

Both the present and the former board have not been interested in finding a solution.

Two audit reports show that the director and several members of the Youth Forum have abused money and are unable to explain where the money they have been paid is.

The case has now been handed over to the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which will consider whether further action must be taken.
